Delhi-NCR has most vacancy of office space, followed by Kolkata, Mumbai

Mumbai: Delhi-NCR has most vacancy of Grade A office space at 29 percent in the country. This is followed by Kolkata which is at 23.5 percent and then Mumbai which is as 16 percent, according to a report by Anarock.

Pune has lowest office vacancy level at 8.5 percent. This is due high demand of workspace by the IT/ITeS sector.

Chennai has a vacancy level of 10.35 percent, Bengaluru has level of 11.25 percent and Hyderabad has vacancy level of 15 percent.

"IT/ITeS remained one of the most buoyant sectors during the pandemic. This sector helped India's top four IT/ITeS-driven cities to keep Grade A office vacancies firmly in check," Anarock said.

"NCR currently with the highest vacancy levels has approx. 26 million square feet of planned or under-construction office stock, while MMR has just 15 million square feet of such inventory," said Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri.
