Birla Corporation’s net profit jumps Rs 249 cr in Q4FY21
New Delhi: Cement maker Birla Corporation’s net profit jumped to Rs 249 crore in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal as compared to Rs 195 crore Rs 195 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The company said its sales volume jumped 25 percent to 4.17 million tonnes in the latest quarter. The revenues of the company jumped 25 percent at Rs 2,146 crore in the latest quarter of the previous fiscal as compared to the same period of previous fiscal. It had capacity utilisation of about 108 percent, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Despite pandemic, the cement maker’s net profit jumped 25 percent at Rs 630 crore in the last fiscal as compared to the previous fiscal year.
For the entire last fiscal, the revenues of the company dropped 1.6 percent to Rs 6,885 crore as compared to the previous fiscal.
The board of the company approved issuance of secured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures totaling up to Rs 200 crore on a private placement basis in one or more tranches.
